The news hit the Internet as the proverbial shit on the fan! The Tea Party wants to make the traitors of the GOP pay! Yes, angry beyond reason ( as if they ever had any ) the poor deluded folks of the extreme right fringe of American politics have just found the perfect way to prove once and for all that they are not a bona fide political party! A political party is a regrouping of people with a common vision of where the country should be heading based on sound moral judgment that fights for representation in order to make it a reality. Well forget the sound and vision, the Tea Party is right out of The Who’s Pinball Wizard song ( “That deaf dumb and blind kid …” ) and I wouldn’t bet they play mean pinball either, at least not in the political arcade?

What the piece above tells us is that to avenge the passing of the Federal budget which they see as treason ( despite the fact that most of the Nation sees it as simple relief ), they intend to find candidates to fight the 87 Republicans who belatedly voted for it? The puns such as “credible challengers ( Ted, Michelle and Sarah come to absence of mind ) are to numerous to list but the idea itself is so fraught with errors that I won’t need them!

By challenging the GOP candidates in seats that they actually hold, the Tea Party will in fact split the conservative votes? But since American runs on a bi-partisan system, that can only profit the Left? So that one can sum up that stroke of brilliance as : let’s make sure we do not get a majority in the next House of Representatives so that there will not be a way for the Republicans to defect to the Left ( i.e. do their job and keep the Nation running )???

Can’t argue with that!

What the Tea Party members do not seem to get though is numbers! We already knew ( amongst others by their pick of a name for their formation ) that history was not their forte but we now can ascertain that simple arithmetics are also beyond their reach? By this September Gallup poll’s count, 22 % of americans supported them!

http://www.gallup.com/poll/164648/tea-party-support-dwindles-near-record-low.aspx

That that is not a majority being too complex for the Cruz gang to catch is quite telling! If you don’t get that, it’s no surprise that you don’t understand that splitting votes away from your ally will garner less representation in total than before really? That the same poll gives 27% of the voters opposing your “ideas” ( sorry but I still balk at calling those people”s whimsical fairy concepts ideas ) which is a net deficit balance is funny though!
( And that poll is from September i.e. before the Budget fight/sketch that likely got the percentage of people unhappy at them 49% up a notch? )

Because it so happens that this kind of inability to count, add and subtract is evident in their very choices of beliefs?

Check : http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-10-18/the-tea-party-by-the-numbers.html

“Two-thirds of regular Republicans believe the federal budget deficit has grown this year and 93 percent of Tea Party Republicans agree. Both are wrong; the budget deficit is projected to fall this year from $1.1 trillion to $642 billion.”

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-05-14/u-s-deficit-to-fall-to-642-billion-says-budget-agency.html

Yes, not only is the Obama administration on track to reduce another time ( not the first since 2008 ) the deficit ( albeit not by as much as in the previous 5 years ) but the Tea Party gang is actually more in the wrong than the Republicans about that, reaching virtual unanimity? 93% is darn close to perfection and only goes to show that a couple of them either did not flunk 6th grade math or paid attention in the House and Senate sessions instead of reading Doctor Seuss?

Nah, too complicated, it is much easier to carry your inability to perceive reality to its ultimate height : fighting the only chance you have to influence the future! Let’s not allow the Republicans to get enough seats so that, if they forgave us the very move, the alliance would hold any form of power on the Hill? Political suicide, I’m telling you!

http://america.aljazeera.com/watch/shows/america-tonight/america-tonight-blog/2013/11/5/the-tea-party-bythenumbers.html

Even Al-Jazeera noticed how little sense you make. Small things such as the 45 year-old average age of your supporters? Not quite oriented to the future, right? And that is the Cru(z)x of the matter!

The Tea Party cannot forge the future of America for the very simple reason that it is so anchored in its past! And a fictional one at that?

Never mind logic, enough analysis, back to puns! The Tea Party is running head first into the wall … or it would be if it had one? The Tea Party can be seen as mind-boggingly dumb … but only for outsiders’ minds? Considering how it treats its allies, if the Tea Party had led the 2003 Iraq war, it would have bombed England, Australia and Denmark for refusing to bomb France?

The great minds of the Founding Fathers, the Washington, Adams, Madison, Jefferson, Jay, Hamilton and Franklin either read Greek, Latin or French while the Partyers are barely knowledgeable of English? In fact, I want a list of Tea Party intellectuals ( what a flocking misnomer! ) that read Montesquieu, Locke, Hume or Thomas Paine! Sheesh, whom are we kidding, Let’s have alist of those who know who these great minds were to begin with or a list of those who even read Ayn Rand! Hoping there are enough ( more than one ) to warrant a list?

I’d forgive the Tea Party for being so shallow as intelligence is not a given. I,d forgive the Tea Party for trying to sabotage US bi-partianism as this may have a purpose further down the road. I’d even credit their ridiculous announcement as a secret plan to have the Democratic electoral committee die of laughter or by splitting up their sides or spleens seeing how they may now get for free the kind of huge win that they’d likely have never garnered by themselves?

What I cannot forgive the Tea Party though is this : Novembers as the soon to come anniversary of President Kennedy’s assassination have often been bleak for America. But that hides the fact that on this day in 1863, The immense Abraham Lincoln began the Gettysburgh address by these words :

Four Score and Seven Years Ago …

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/abraham-lincolns-gettysburg-address-150th-anniversary-full-text/story?id=20928973

That man whose genius the lot of you cannot hope to emulate nor even simulate not even the whole lot of you put together was a Republican and a visionary full of moral sense and humanity!

And, oblivious to your own demise, you are trying to sabotage his legacy?

Read if you can, dear morons :

“… that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom …”

Of you which you will not be part nor motive, pretext … heck excuse, maybe … if even that!

Good luck, dear Tea Party! And no, that last is no pun! I always root for the underdog.
Besides, you could not do without it!

Tay.
