I was made aware of an incredibly well made video out of Norway earlier today. You will be shocked by the incredible depth of this parody :

This piece by the Norwegian Organization for Asylum Seekers is brilliant and touching by itself but it raises again the question of what TV and reality have in common the answer to which is pretty darn nothing.

One can easily envision other spoofs though.

How about one of Big Brother for homeless folks where the winner gets a real house? How about one of The Apprentice where unemployed people, not pseudo celebrities, can really get a job if they win? How about a parody of Shark Tank with hungry people asking for money for a meal as are found every day on the streets worldwide? The Sharks would have to choose if feeding the candidate is a sound investment! How about one of Survivor with representatives of small nations with border conflicts and the one that makes it saves his land but those of the rest are absorbed by their bigger neighbours?

How about we stop spending billions on HD fake reality and TV starts informing us instead of being a fast food pusher? Food for thought!

Tay.

P.S. Heartfelt thanks to Akheilos for bringing this to my attention; it just served its purpose, milady! 😀
