Some things are strikingly impossible once you take a second look at them. Either they break their own logic, seem far fetched to beyond the horizon or just entice you to push them off the deep end / cliff. Here’s one of each :
In the West under modern social behavior, men are agreed to be so flawed that women must fix them, make them house broken as you would a pet. It usually runs something like this :
Gal is attracted to bad boy and wins him over. Gal teaches bad boy to become less macho, more sensitive or at the very least obedient.
Then once he puts the toilet seat down, takes out the trash and in general abides by her every whim …
she finds him weak and lackluster & has an affair at best or leaves him at worst for a real man!

I’m not going to challenge that process since I’m a man, i.e. necessarily wrong to begin with. I need however to point out that it does not always succeed, in which case the inflexible chap is unceremoniously divorced. Which reveals two logic flaws. Since we know through our premiss women to always be right ;
A- Who raised those bad boys and inflexible machos?
B- How is it even possible that the training could fail?
Wouldn’t either require some woman to have been imperfect? Puzzling!
In the good ol’ US of A, there is about a quarter of the population that doesn’t “believe” in evolution and thinks the Earth is 6 to 10 thousand years old max. ( I’m surprised they can even juggle such numbers but that’s not the point. ) Since Monday, one of their champions who sits on science committees of the legal body of the land no less, is running for President.
In India, the party in power includes funny chaps that push their religious fervor in favor of cows to the somewhat extreme belief that the urine of that useful animal cures cancer :

Again, as above, who am I to dispute the right of these nice people to peddle their lunacy! So considering that they’ve been elected and in the logic of if you can’t beat them join them, why not merge the BJP and the Tea Party / GOP and have them staff the entire UNESCO, the UN organization whose S stands for science?
Heck, most half-bright parents are already pissed at how little their kids learn in school, let’s make things equalitarian by spreading the problem world wide so we can take comfort in numbers ( even though useless ones? ).
And, having mentioned the UN, let’s check their logic :
- Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.
So states article 2 of the UN’s own Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Which of course does not work because amongst its members, this august body includes some that don’t respect said article say Saudi Arabia on the sex part, Israel on the national origin one ( at least as Palestinians are concerned ) and quite a few, Russia under Putin comes to mind and China too as regards the political opinion part. This not an exhaustive list by the way, just practical examples.

Again, pardon my naive side but … shouldn’t these nations be excluded from the general assembly or at least suspended until their actions and laws are in line with this essential document? In lieu of which two of our examples actually sit on the most powerful inner circle of the UN : the 5 permanent members of the Security Council!
And some wonder why this assembly does so little, so slowly in the end … tsssk!
