Good news Jews.

Everyone or about needs good news although on most days, you have to look around a bit to find one. This morning however, two great news items were available from Haaretz, the popular Israeli newspaper. It reminded me that I also had one such in reserve, not yet shared with my readers. Why not bunch them up and make it a trio?

First, I urge everyone to check out this excellent piece where Haaretz provides an honest appraisal of the consequences of the worst anti-Palestians policies of the Israeli government. It explains how petty harassment by those at present in power in Jerusalem could cause the collapse of the Palestinian Authority by undermining its ability to care for its population all the way to predicting quite correctly that if this happened, the vacuum would most likely be filled by much more radical folks than Mahmoud Abbas and his party.

I know it requires paying but at 1 lowly buck for the first months, it’s darn cheap to realize that the impression normally carried by the media that Israelis don’t care about the plight of Palestine is unfounded or at the very least not based on the sentiment of all Jews in the Holy Land. If you really don’t want to register, at least learn more about good Israelis from this past post of mine where we outlined an initiative based on exactly that :

Which is also the point of another news in the same Haaretz edition but fee to access this time about another group of israelis, rabbis this time that are fighting for justice :

Rabbis for Human Rights is an organization rooted in the best that the faith of Israel has to offer indefatigable in its attempts to make Israel ( and the world by consequence ) a peaceful land. We have also learned about them in past posts :

And last but not least, we have had numerous occasions, sadly, to bark at OM Netanyahu for his outrageous statements calling Jews to leave this country or that ( last two times in Denmark and France in 2015 alone ) and move to Israel out of fear. Well, a fellow former from somewhere on the Net shared this great little video. about  France where soldiers have been deployed to protect Jewish institutions since the January attacks on Charlie-Hebdo and a kosher supermarket. It seems 150 attempts were recorded in those last 6 weeks. One at least, we covered here as some of those soldiers were injured a couple weeks ago by a stabbing attack. Well, all the fear mongering by Netanyahu did not stop French Jews to notice that indeed those soldiers were there for their protection and wanted to thank them for that. So they invited them in the synagog they were defending and danced to the tune of a happy Marseillaise, the French national anthem, while carrying the Torah around.
