About governments : they dislike simple solutions because one can hide an elephant’s corpse in the forest of the superfluous whereas the tiniest flutter of the wings of the most minuscule insect resonates on the barren plains of voluntary simplicity.
About politicians : if you vote someone Supervisor of your Rights and Liberties, select them honest, intelligent and courageous ( in order ) and check that they refuse at first, pointing out the disadvantages or a sincere worry that the job may not be possible to complete. If they agree immediately, pick someone else!
About technology : What have we learned from these 200 years of Industrial Revolution? Well, for one, it’s safe to say that we have discovered that technology is at least as powerful as we had envisioned it to be. It has proven a tool strong enough even to change the climate and just maybe make it unlivable down here.
Shouldn’t that show a contrary that we also have the power to restore at least facade splendor to paradise lost? And if so, do you not feel awful that it is not happening?
About someone in particular : The guy had the kind of conversation skills that make you want to watch TV … alone!
About people in general : If it’s really intent that counts, I know folks that aren’t worth much.
About love : I keep meeting someone else’s love of their live!
About fame : King? Paladin? Excalibur? In the Arthurian cycle, I wish I had been the stone.
About humanity : Apocalypse, apocalypse! Apocalypse? Sheesh … nothing but promises!
