What a wonderful world! Louis Armstrong sang nature’s praises.

What a crappy place! I’m considering the week’s news in review.

A truce was reached between Israel and Palestine but violence is on-going.
Egypt’s President Morsi took part in setting up the truce, ungallantly gave a biased account of it and went on to wrestle most powers from the Judicial system at home for himself sparking heavy protests.
Mali saw another French hostage kidnapped bringing the tally to 7 and skirmishes between the AQMI and the Touareg rebels that have conquered the North together but differing agendas.
In  the Democratic Republic of Congo, the rebel group M23 captured Goma, a rather big regional capital with strategic value as UN Peacekeepers watched idle and rumors of Rwanda and Uganda backing.
The ongoing farce at French Right-wing party UMP gives a breather to the Republicans ( There’s always worse than yourself! ) but Europe of the Nations is also split and could not get an accord on budget.
China takes from the overall tone set as an example by the IDF-AlQassam Twitter exchanges and draws a new passport where the limits of Territorial waters and borders they wish were theirs instead of what is internationally accepted or rather, more factually, disputed. 😎 India gets all itchy over it and so do the Philippines. Expect Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam to follow suite.
A suicide bombing in Afghanistan? Through the fresh mountain air, its blast reverberates and a bombing in Pakistan echoes it.

Hum! It is sometimes disheartening to be a human and until things quiet down, I think I’ll rank whales, dolphins, apes and dogs as brighter than the supposed Sapiens we fancy ourselves to be, TYVM.

So in addition to upcoming posts for the week-end, let me place this here for a little comic relief :

for a country that is not officially democratic, China still respects individuals and their rights on occasion, look :

They had cases like that before and coined the term “nail houses” since they stick out;

And to cap it all off, Anders Breivik, that nice neo-nazi gentleman in Norway that bombed a government building before going on to an island where a political rally for youths was held and he proceeded  to shoot 69 people like rabbits in addition to the 8 killed by the car bomb is complaining about prison conditions??????

In a 27 pages letter, he complains of cold coffee, lack of sweets and a anti-stabbing flexible pen for security reasons which he describes as “an almost indescribable manifestation of sadism.”

Mister Breivik, let me be quite clear here, this sentence by you in that letter :
“Anyway, there are limits to what a person can take.” is very correct but only if…

limits apply to you and person does not!

OH! And your claim that you “would most likely have lost my mind in pure frustration,” does not hold water; you’d have to have been mentally sane in the first place for it to be possible.

I seem to remember that when you were in court, you showed contempt at a given well-known peace song from one of your country’s folk singers because it depicted a rainbow society where all found a home despite their differences?

It must have been true because I certainly remember the reaction of Norwegian people when they gathered on a city square near the Court and sang it for you :

You killed their kids because you’re afraid of others, simply put. They sang peace back at you.
Go crazier all you want, man but do not blame one of the most gentle societies on Earth, TYVM.

And good day to all people of good will, Tay.
