This congregation just shows how men and women of power ( Sorry for the Bieber blunder; count him out. ) consider sex as part of the experience. The important word being power here. People like that have a view of things that is tainted by their vision of the world and sex is but a tool in it at times. In the case of General Petraeus, it is more worrisome since the affair was found by the FBI in relation to work mail and communications.

Another list of same day events : 1775 the USMC is born. In 1954, President Eisenhower dedicates the USMC War Memorial and in 2006, the USMC National Museum opens. The grand prize of logic and a happy anniversary to the USMC.

A while ago on November 10th 1793, the French revolutionaries’ Convention proclaimed a Goddess of Reason. Two hundred plus years of news since both in France and abroad have convinced me and most that her job is a sinecure.

I talked briefly about China’s inhabited space program in a recent post, here is a link to their next step. Next year should see them rendez-vous ships in space to form the temporary nucleus of a space habitat aka station.

And here I am about to work on this blog on a more technical way. Posting and real life events have kept me busy but I want to devote a little time to tweaking the interface.

You all know the virtual desk to real desk referral but in fact, the presentation of a blog is a sort of forced desk for the viewer. I did not spend any time on it for over a month so today is it. Blogging from a good platform such as WordPress could easily make one complacent. Sometimes new options appear and you don’t even check them out. For instance, my theme here suits me fine but in order for it to be perfectly suited to my taste, a couple of things could be fixed. The archives and categories for instance should be more accessible. I’ll look into it, take a long thoughtful ride or walk to let it simmer then look into it some more and be back tomorrow.
