The redneck Prince in Moscow has lost it all.
Headlines for the 9th of February 2013 :
Remember the Pussy Riots?
The trio of punk rock girls that sang uninvited during an Orthodox Church celebration to protest Putin’s hold on all of Russian politics and live? Which was allegedly in very poor taste but not by any stretch of the imagination worth two years of prison for a 60 seconds show?
The one that got a suspended sentence showed up at a free-minded theater in Moscow. You can help the others by going on the second link below the story itself :

I sometimes have to read some sentences twice or more to be sure I got it right; I guess I’m slow like that :
“The court was responding to a request by investigators who said Udaltsov was not showing good behaviour and not cooperating with the authorities.”
House arrest, no contacts with relatives and lawyers ??? no phone and no Internet!
Because he did not behave well and is not cooperative. Used in Western High Schools, that logic would see a fourth to a third of teens stuck at home?
“Authorities opened a probe after state-controlled television broadcast a documentary in October that alleged Udaltsov was plotting a violent uprising against Putin’s government.”
Wow? So if PBS interviews a Republican advocating “fighting Obama ’til the end”, the Supreme Court would get on the Senator’s case?
Are you sure that ( and the no communication with lawyers part ) is legal?

And I kept the best for last :

We told last year of the anti-adoption law that Russia voted against American prospective parents supposedly because they could not check and regulate the kids in the U.S.A. It was a retaliation for a dispute over the cause of death of a lawyer. Russian but employed by an American firm that died in prison? No one was found responsible for his death. I guess there was nothing left to do but open his trial for fraud? International law and I think it is illegal to bring a dead man to trial. His mom thinks it’s inhuman; I agree.
And having only had to open Al-Jazeera and check Russia to find a post, let’s go lazy all the way and re-use the end of an old post as conclusion :

So first wish on my list for 2013 : Go Putin, go! Not in the sports sense of course!
Russia deserves better leadership than yours, sir!
Sincerely, Tay.

Thanks Bzebza and congrats for having followed the link,
